  Registration Information

Forms! Forms! What's a leader to do?
Well, hopefully this page will answer some of your registration questions.

Helpful tidbits:

Registered Troop: For a troop to be considered registered they need to have two registered adults.  So, if you turn in your registrations, and there is only one adult form, your troop is not registered until we receive that second adult form.  It doesn't necessarily need to be your co-leader; it can be an active adult, or the cookie parent.

Early Registration:  Every spring ~ usually by the April leaders meeting, we will receive a pack of registration forms for each troop.  In those packs are pre-printed registration forms for all of your registered troop members.  This makes registration much easier since all a person has to do is check the information for accuracy, sign it, write a check, and give it back to you.  Troop members who participate in early registration will get a patch, and there is usually a pizza party drawing that your troop will be entered in.  The deadline for turning in early registration forms is always June 30th of the current year.

Dues Summary Form: One of these forms must be filled out and turned in every time you turn in a registration form.  Even if you are only turning in one form you still need to submit that form with your registration.  You can access this form online by clicking the link below. http://www.girlscoutscv.org/for_volunteers/documents/forms/membershipdues.pdf

Adult Registration Form: One of these should be filled out by all the active adults in your troop; leader, co-leader, cookie manager, treasurer, and adults who help out at meetings, drive, or attend troop outings.  A good goal is to have at least one adult registered per girl that way you have covered your bases. Click the link below to access the adult registration form online. http://www.girlscoutscv.org/for_volunteers/documents/forms/AdultForm06.pdf

Girl Registration Forms: One of these forms needs to be filled out by every active Girl Scout.  You can click on the link below to access the girl registration form online.

Volunteer Applications: Adults only need to fill out  a volunteer application once.  If they already have one on record, they can disregard that page of registration form.  The forms must be filled out by adults who are involved with the girls on a regular basis, or handle troop funds.  However, it is best to have one on record for every registered adult volunteer.   Volunteer applications are now located on the back of the adult registration form, and the 3 reference forms can be printed online -- click the link below.        http://www.girlscoutscv.org/for_volunteers/documents/forms/05Form_AdultReference.pdf

Registration Dates

All troops need to turn in their registrations by October 1st.

New Troop Have 30 days after their first troop meeting to register.

Never mail your registrations to Council, and instruct your parents not to as well.  However, if a parent has mailed the registration in to Council be sure to let your registrar know right away.

By the April leader's meeting you should have your early registration forms to distribute to your troop.

All early registration forms must be turned into your registrar by June 30.

Registration Procedures

Turn all registrations in to your service unit registrar.

Never mail registrations to your service center, and instruct your parents not to as well.  If you are aware of a registration form that has been mailed please contact your registrar.

Early Registration is a wonderful opportunity for existing troops register for the next year, and they are strongly encouraged to participate.
